Casamicciola's innate hospitality, worthy of its Greek ancestors and a typical characteristic of the island style, has always been a distinctive feature of the Hotel Coralba. In the past, its warmth has been appreciated by personalities from the worlds of culture and entertainment, including singer/songwriter Lucio Dalla and actor Massimo Troisi. But the most important reason for the fame of the hotel, which was opened in 1970, is that its location was once the summer home of philosopher Benedetto Croce, who usually spent his vacations here with his family. Here, guests find well-being, relaxation, peace and quiet and a cheerful, friendly atmosphere in addition to the very best healthy, home cooking. The secret behind all this is its highly-professional family management and the cheerful courtesy that it combines with attention to the smallest details. The new generation of the Bernasconi family has owned the hotel since 2000 and consists of Antonio, the manager in charge of the dining room, bar and reception desk and his brother Mauro who assists him in management and is responsible for the hotel's fitness and beauty staff as well as their tireless Aunt Agnese and father Angelo, the hotel's cooks.
